1. Who we are

Playhoard.com is operated by Playhoard Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17448359, with its registered office at 19 Rylestone Grove, Bristol, BS9 3UT ("Playhoard", "we", "us", "our").

These terms apply whenever you buy a Steam code through playhoard.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.

2. What we sell

Playhoard sells digital codes that can be redeemed for games and content on Steam, a platform operated by Valve Corporation. Codes are made available for purchase through links published by creators and press outlets who cover the games in question.

Playhoard is an independent retailer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation.

3. Orders and payment

• Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details — see our Privacy Policy for how payment data is handled.
• An order is complete once payment is confirmed by Stripe, at which point your Steam code is generated and made available to you.
• We may cancel or refuse an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse of a discount code, or a pricing error.

4. Discount codes

Discount codes are issued to individual creators and press outlets, each tied to a specific piece of coverage. A code may only be used within any conditions stated at the point of purchase, such as an expiry date or a limit on the game it applies to. We may deactivate a code that is shared outside its intended context or used in a way that abuses the program.

When you use a creator's code, Playhoard automatically credits that creator with a share of the sale. This does not change the price you pay beyond the discount shown at checkout. The exact share is set out in the campaign offered to that creator, with a base rate of at least 10% of the sale, paid to the creator 30 days after the sale completes.

5. Refunds and cancellations

To request a refund before revealing your code, contact support@playhoard.com with your order reference. This policy sits alongside, and does not remove, any statutory rights you have under UK consumer law, including your right to cancel a digital purchase before download or redemption has begun.

6. Your responsibilities

• You'll only use Playhoard to buy codes for your own use or as a genuine gift, not for resale.
• You won't attempt to generate, guess, or reuse discount codes outside how they were issued to you.
• You're responsible for redeeming your code through a Steam account in good standing; we're not responsible for issues arising from your own Steam account.

7. Availability

Playhoard does not offer a general catalogue to browse — codes become available for purchase through creator and press links. We don't guarantee that any particular game, code, or discount will remain available, and we may withdraw a code at any time before it's purchased.

8. Liability

We provide Playhoard as a retailer of digital codes and are not responsible for the performance of the underlying game or the Steam platform itself. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that can't be limited under UK law, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our refund process or the creator program. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use Playhoard after a change means you accept the update.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England & Wales.
